Dear visitors,
Lithuanian authorities have announced additional precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the country.
Tourists are not allowed to enter the country from 16 March till 13 April.
Museums, theatres, cinemas, schools and universities are closed. This has also caused Vilnius Tourist Information Centre’s closures.
SPA centres, beauty salons, shops (except food stores) and shopping centres are closed.
All public events, including conferences and other performances, are cancelled.
Restaurants and bars are closed, except for food deliveries.
Food supermarkets, markets and pharmacies will continue operating.
Buses and trolleybuses are still running, but have a reduced frequency and modified schedule: www.stops.lt. Tickets can no longer be purchased on the bus directly from the driver. We suggest downloading the Trafi App and using online tickets. It’s easy, very simple and available in English.
There is no public transport going to and from the Vilnius Airport. Night buses are also cancelled.
Hotels have been informed that they will have to allow people to stay during quarantine if necessary; the state will cover these costs.
COVID-19 Hotline in Lithuania: 1808 (free of charge).
If necessary, please contact us at tic@vilnius.lt, by phone +370 5 262 9660 or through social media.
